Anyone With Major Judicial/Service Department Experience?

is there anyone on the board with a large amount of experience with judicial matters or (preferably) with the service department of the society or perhaps even worked on the service department?

if so, i would appreciate the answers to at least some of the following questions:.

does the society ever take the initiative to remove elders, and if so, how do they do it?

I know of one group of elders that was removed. It was the work of the local CO. I've known elders, local elders, who have been assigned to congregations to clean up messes. As far as being sent "from Bethel" I can't say. I do know that happens near Bethel when there are problems but I don't know of any sent by Bethel to out of state congregations. Others may know if it. I'm in CA so maybe that has something to do with it.

so this weekend my wife had a major grand mal seizure for the first time in her life.

she was rushed to the er.

a few hours later while i was at her side she had another major one.. it was the scariest moment in my life.

Daniel, stop looking for help from the invisible God who never talks back and listen to reasonable people who advise you to step back and take a breath. The siezures are the result of the brain not firing right and this will effect the way she thinks in general. She is pinning it on you because someone told her "stress" brings it on. She is stressed because you have stepped off the road she travels. Let her heal. Let her mind heal. Once she does I am sure that she will see the depth of your love for her. If you can avoid a JC, do it. It's not a good time for you either. Put it off, dealing with your wife's illness is the priority. If they DF you while you are trying to look after your wife it will become known how heinous they are. Believe more in yourself, you are not a bad person. Illness strikes the good and the bad and not because of you. Strength and calm thoughts to you Daniel.

The King of the North and the King of the South. What gives?

if i understood correctly, one of the ideas advanced as proof of jehovah's witnesses beliefs is that of the kings of the north and the south.

i didn't understand much of it, to a large extent because i think it's nonsense, but something else i did find curious.. the king of the north was the soviet union, and the king of the south were the united states.

i am not sure the soviet union is "north" of the united states in any sense (think of alaska), but, that aside, what kind of theological distress resulted when the king of the north crumbled to pieces?

I read or heard at one point that it is still the "Soviet Union" because Russia is still a dictatorship in reality and that it may push its weight around yet. Kind of like Jesus' return becoming invisible. Ok, um, sure.

How I Know The Assembly Parts Are Made Up

we had a co looking for a certain experience for an assembly part coming up and the elders in my hall at the time sent him to see me, since i usually had good experiences out in field service.. anyway, after speaking with the co, i was sorry to inform him that i did not have an experience that suited the type he needed.

he told me that was o.k.

because he could use me anyway for another part.
